LOGO DESIGN

2013

2015

2018

The initial concept was a home decor business selling industrial themed items. Heavy reclaimed woods and metals that could be used as functional art. As the business grew, trends changed, and we transitioned into a clean modern feel in our brand as well as our products. The original hand drawn designs are very period to the early 00's-2010's and as amateur as they look, they bring a sense of nostalgia and homeliness that's been sterilized from the current logo.

TA_Design_Logo-01.png

The sole purpose of T&A Design as a subsidiary of Smokestack Studios was to create and sell one-off high-end home furnishings to interior designers. The angular logo is an amalgamation of a "T" and "A" that's reminiscent of a building or table and the elegance of the serif font is dripping with luxury. See below for examples of T&A Design.

We rebranded Smokestack Studios as Studio Saville in 2025 to rebuild our legacy, yet branch away from inflated material costs and overweight shipping. I used a combination of vector and 3D rendering techniques to develop the updated shop banner. Our new shop experience caters to B2B marketing materials, LED, signage, and a variety of gifts made from wood, metal, plastics, paper and textiles created using CNC automation with a focus on routing, laser engraving, marking, and plasma cutting. We now only offer oversized items to our local customers.

PHOTO & EDIT

This collection shows examples of my DSLR strobe photography, product styling, retouching, color correcting, rebuilding, and formatting for various ecommerce platforms/websites. Smokestack Studios was featured on Etsy "Top Picks" many times and I believe having well lit photos without fingerprints or dust made our products stand out.

LOGO DESIGN

TONIX Premium Event Bartending is a liquor and bartender catering business that targets event venues and groups who require high-end bartenders that know how to pour. The logo design was meant to be clean, black and white, with a vintage feel which is why I chose a sans serif font and eliminated all the busy lines. Less is more. The "Olive" logo is a variation on a theme and isn't necessarily the primary logo, but the olive may be used independently to define the brand. The following designs were used for social media campaigns to create hype. Although the brand is classy, it's fine to reach beyond the identity to create engagement.

PHOTO & PRINT

We set up some prop drinks outside with a blue sky in the background for our business cards. I converted everything to grayscale except for the drinks which gave the cards a pop of color, and on the back we added quirky little bottles under the required info. Looking back I should have used a simple font for the bartender names to make it easier to read. The cards themselves are laminated with heavy colored stock and 4 unique fronts, each pictured below.

LOGO DESIGN

Sprinkle_Press_1-01.png

Honestly not much to say here. I started Sprinkle Press as a name for my merch and design business, but I'm bringing it back for B2B merch and decor. The idea was to create apparel and print products to sell online with Sprinkle Press "Sugar Free" as the naughty NSFW subsidiary. The market is so saturated it's hard to find a space. I designed the logo to look like an amateur bakery product, because my prints would be "hot off the press". I also like donuts.

Sprinkle_Press_2-01.png

Sprinkle Press has been reinstated in 2025 as a sister store to Studio Saville. All products are offered uniformly across both channels but the brands are adjusted to target different demographics. The new banner was developed in the same way as the Studio Saville banner. Note the 3D sprinkles in a tapered isometric box.

DIGITAL ART

Below are digital oil paintings I made as a first effort to sell digital art online at the inception of Sprinkle Press. With the introduction of AI my artistic talents are virtually obsolete. I specialize in digital painting by hand without the use of AI using Adobe Photoshop (see Cat Nap Games)

LOGO DESIGN

Tendies_Diamonds-01.png

Tendies is a streetwear brand that piggybacked off the GME, AMC, Wallstreet Bets fad in 2020. I created designs like GameStonk, HODL, and WWDFVD. I sold 5 hats at $40 each and after everything I made $2.00.  The logo itself was a brush style image that accompanied a stylized diamond with the Tendies "t". I didn't spend too much time on this because it simply wasn't worth the hassle of dealing with the fees from a 3PL...

...also Tendies looks like Terdies in a brush script.

BRAND DESIGN

Design for Avaitor-01-01.png

Creating a sunglass brand was one of the most fun and involving ventures we could have done. It was rewarding that the concept and brand evolved into something that we could fall in love with. Learning how to design, import, and sell sunglasses was a completely new undertaking compared to Smokestack Studios. The brand name Daddies Eyewear is sexy and fun so we went with Daddies instead of Daddy's. The "ies" has a softer feel and I enhanced it with a rounded sans serif font. Sticking to the idea of keeping things simple, we used the simplicity of the logo to compliment the vibrant soul of the brand. I came up with the idea of the DD sunglass logo by pulling the capital DD's from the middle of the word and rotating them. In addition we trademarked the phrase "Always Look Good" as a play on "looking" through sunglasses and looking suave (with a hint of sarcasm). Black and pink is the color scheme so we keep Pantones as close to the primary colors as possible throughout merch and marketing.

PRINT & PACKAGING

I love making stickers and designing packaging. To keep the brand uniform in all aspects I incorporate the brand values into all works of art down to the barcodes. We needed a sexy logo to enhance our brand so I used a photo of my wife to use on the packing tape. This logo was used on tank tops during vendor events and soon became a fan favorite. Once we started selling non-sunglass merch we created a new brand to match the parent company: Anywhere But The Eyes x Daddies Eyewear

I have an enormous amount of product and lifestyle photos for the brand. Removing reflections within gradient lenses is harder than it sounds, and photographing product with reflective lenses is even harder. I always want my photos to look professional so I take the extra time to be as perfect in-camera as possible. I've gained a lot of experience retouching during this project and I can tell my quality has greatly increased.

Similar to Tendies, I wasted time on this idea that didn't go anywhere. I was hoping to sell merch related to the greater St. Louis area cities. Not St. Louis, but St. Lou-ish. "Ish" meaning selling shit, too. I thought it was a good idea, and I don't hate the logo but nobody else seems to like it.

TWITCH

Bitty_1.png

We started AT Team as our collective streamer name to post YouTube tutorials under the pseudonym umbrella. Once we transitioned into a streaming mentality we changed our alias to @Timmanda. I learned to use OBS and created my own Intro, Away, End, Stinger, and Alert animations using Adobe After Effects.

GAME DESIGN

20250115_133510.jpg

I started Cat Nap Games to self produce a board game idea I had, Coven. The company logo is influenced by my best friend, Bitty.

20221126_CovenPlay-min.jpg

This is the first prototype of Coven. We used a hunk of wood for the Caludron and colored construction paper for game pieces. Playtesting was difficult with black and white cards because I couldn't gauge how long the rounds were actually taking without incorporating color. Since the game requires color matching to cards and tangible meeples I needed to learn 3D modeling/print.

The fist model I made was the Pumpkin Seed. After that, I got pretty good at organic modeling. I designed the "Moon" Cauldron container as a modular board game holder for all the cards, pieces, and board. The meeple storage slots were too deep and narrow for adult hands so I had to redesign it into wider, shallower, sections all while keeping it within the dimensions of the container. I ended up redesigning the Cauldron to hold the cards with the Swamp container nested on top. The design looks great, but I don't know if it will be able to go to production.

DIGITAL ART

pumpkinflower.png

I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for nearly everything I do. I retouched photos for years but hadn't dabbled in the world of digital painting. There was a local boardgame convention with a chance to win a playtest tournament so I spent 3 days teaching myself how to paint to create the required sell sheet, and ultimately decided not to submit my rushed work. The candle is my first digital painting, the Frog card was my second. All of the Spell cards are designed in illustrator with photoshopped paper as the background. The logo was drafted on my phone and refined in Illustrator. I love the use of negative space and although some people say it's difficult to read, I think the thematic use of all the elements is perfectly on brand for Coven.

LED & SIGNS

Julia_Combo-01.png

I CNC and solder custom LED faux-neon acrylic signs under the handle Neon Meow. I started with friends and family with hopes to turn it into a business. With wood, metal, and plastic signage at the forefront, I'm adding backdrops and custom marketing displays to the mix. Contact me for a custom design and quote

Resized_20241219_134426-min.jpeg

Below are some examples of signs and displays I've created for friends and personal business use. The rotating sunglass stand illuminates via a conductive slip ring so it can rotate infinitely without tangling wires. I fabricated a custom steel handrail for my basement stairs and installed LEDs under the bar and each stair tread. The individually addressable LED sequences are controlled by WLED and an ESP32 board.
